Unico FC- Parent Player Agreement.jpg

PARENT PLAYER AGREEMENT

CLUB MISSION STATEMENT: Único FC provides opportunities for youth soccer players to
experience a healthy, safe, and developmentally appropriate environment to learn, love and live
the game of soccer.

THE PLAYER

Unico Futbol Club encourages potential players and their parents to consider all of their club
options and choose what best suits the individual, taking into consideration each person’s goals
and aspirations as a soccer player. Once a commitment to join a Unico FC team is made, the
player and their parents agree to abide by the policies of the Club and the team.

Players agree to:
• Show respect for teammates, opponents, officials and coaches.
• Exhibit fair play, sportsmanship, and proper conduct on and off of the playing field.
• Refrain from the use of profanity, vulgarity, and other offensive language and gestures.
• Adhere to the established rules and standards of the game and of the Club.

THE PARENT

Parental support and involvement in the Club are essential. If your son or daughter has made
the commitment to play for Unico FC, the parent must assure that the player attends all possible
team functions and follows all established rules and guidelines.

Parents agree to:
● Ensure that their player is able to attend practices, games, and all team functions.
● Fulfill the required number of volunteer hours as established by the Club.
● Show respect to all players on the team, referees, all players of the opposing team and
their fans.

● Not coach their children or any other members of the team, during practices or games.
Avoid ‘coaching’ from the sideline while watching your child’s game, as this interferes
with player’s performance on the field and conflicts with what the coach is trying to do.
● Make no comments to officials before, during or after games.
● Not make critical remarks to others about players, coaches or coach’s decisions.
● Save issues with the coach (or member of management) for the next day. 24 hours
cooling period. It’s important to take some time to think about it, rather than confronting
the coach or management in front of your child, team or other parents.

COMMUNICATION
Clear communication between the player and the coach is essential. If there is a concern,
parents should make a request to meet with the coach with the team manager first. Once
that request is accepted by the coach, both parties should meet at an agreed day and time. The
meeting should take place in person before or after training. If any issues remain unresolved
after the player/parent have met with the coach/manager then the Unico FC Director of
Coaching may be contacted directly for assistance in resolving the issue.

DISCIPLINE
In the event that disciplinary actions are necessary, the following steps will be taken:
● The team coach, manager, and/or Coaching Director will discuss the issue directly with
the player or with the parent if they are the problem.
● In the case of a player, if the problem is not resolved, the team coach, manager, and/ or
Coaching Director will discuss the issue with the player’s parents.
● If the problem persists with the player or parent, the Coaching Director and team coach
in conjunction with the Select Board, may temporarily suspend the player or parent from
training and games. If the situation warrants, the Coaching Director may recommend to
the Unico FC Board that the player be removed from the Club.
● The parents of any player recommended for suspension or removal may request to meet
with the executive committee of the Unico Board along with the Coaching Director and
the team coach.

I have read the Player/Parent Agreement attached and made available at unicofc.com and agree to abide by these policies set by Unico Futbol Club.

Thanks for submitting!
